St Clair Mural

I have designed and painted many murals in New Zealand and overseas and it was real good to be doing one in my own backyard!

During October and November I worked a couple of days a week with students from 4 classes at St Clair Primary School in Dunedin.  The developer of this building and his surfing mates had the idea to create a lasting mural on this temporary fence.  Mike, one of the surfers, is also caretaker at St Clair school.  When the building is finished and the wall is no longer needed for Health & Safety requirements the wall will be dismantled and remade in the grounds of St Clair school.  This is the beginning……30 panels long…

Matamata resting on Saddle Hill anchors one end.

The locals, Red & Black Billed gulls, Black Backed Gulls, Albatross, Fairy Prions, Terns, Shags, Penguins and Sea Lions inhabit the middle….

Titi group at the other end.

The students are very proud of their finished mural!
