I also wanted to go underneath into the hidden space of the instrument and use that inner more secret space to reflect the quiet watchfulness and often indifference to us, of much of the natural world and her wild creatures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1515 alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janetdewagt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img202305051804423147123284062469270.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"1200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janetdewagt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img202305051804423147123284062469270.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.janetdewagt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img202305051804423147123284062469270-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.janetdewagt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img202305051804423147123284062469270-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This transformation of the guitar into a light mimics the light thrown on these songs of the land. The <span lang=\"mi-NZ\">Ka<\/span><span lang=\"mi-NZ\">kapo<\/span> booming for a <span lang=\"mi-NZ\">partner;<\/span> the lone T<span lang=\"mi-NZ\">i<\/span> Kouka clapped by its <span lang=\"mi-NZ\">mates;<\/span> the gargantuan inhabitants of the deep, the whales and their secret communications; the flight of the bumblebee, so wild and erratic to us watching.
